Tab Trade — The Short Version
TabTrade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection matters. It suggests the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. It is better than a founder with no industry background.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. A wide spread. For a platform this new, that range is solid.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from a single account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you know MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for bots but needs the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is apparently coming. That should make the platform set when it arrives.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, faster fills, custom pricing. Not relevant to typical accounts. Skip it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
This is the thing Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Should you care? If you scalp, it does. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. The point is they invested in proper execution. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Combine those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get holds up. Few brokers with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Here is the thing that requires honesty. Tab Trade is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Lots of FCA-regulated options out there.
That said. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. None of this guarantee anything. It should factor into your decision.
What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off works comes down to your priorities.
